I took the summer off from teaching online, something I haven't done for several years. Granted, I was still taking on other projects and crazy-busy with work, but getting away from the daily computer is nice to do for a period of time. I will always enjoy online courses, and I feel they have a special pace and way of developing. But as in all things, taking a break brings you back invigorated and full of new energy and ideas. I am truly looking forward to a fantastic new term with a great bunch of class members.

It sort of reminds me of when I travel and leave my family. Of course I always love my family dearly, but it seems when I've been away only to return there is an extra appreciation of the small and wonderful miracles that they bring to my life.
Well, here's to a new year and a new perspective on teaching webskills!
Robert

Hello Robert,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your blog. After visiting it I see what to do with mine. This week I created my first blog. http://e-learner2012.blogspot.com/ I was confused a little. Now I see the light in the end of the tunnel.

Hi Robert! Greetings from the Uruguayan Spring, although it's not being a reular one, we're having more storms than usual, and some of them a bit strong.
ReplyDeleteI had checked your blog when we started classes, and I entered again now to see what was new and I was surprised at the absence of it.
I mean, I know we're the ones taking the course and learning, but I think it's also good to have the teacher's example to follow.
I haven’t forgotten the days we had together online, Thanks for everything Mr. Robert and all the best with your new bunch of active students.
ReplyDeleteDear Robert,
ReplyDeleteDuring these 10 weeks I felt myself like being under your caring wing which always helped and guided me.
It was so great to have such a wonderful instructor!
Thank you a lot.

ReplyDeleteDiana and I live very near, only a river separates us. I agree with her that it is a bit stormy here and like her we are on vacation time so that means relaxing and not working.
Yet I am enjoying the course, so far,and hoping I won't have to do a lot of work.
We are starting classes in February as vacation here is in summer. Every year classes are starting earlier and so heat is a troublesome point in schools as weather is changing and it is getting hotter and stormy as Miss Vidal said.
I feel happy you could get some relaxing time as we all need it but time for work is starting and it is always a new challenge to fullfill
